Middle School Students Shine

Three students receive certificates from Veterans of Foreign Wars members in recognition of their writing achievements.

Congratulations to three amazing writers from Middle School West and Middle School South for their achievements in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Patriot's Pen Youth Essay Contest! This nationwide competition challenges middle schoolers to think about democracy and patriotism and then put their thoughts into writing.

This year's theme, "My Voice in America's Democracy," encouraged students to share their unique take on how young voices can shape our country's future. We are so proud of our Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools Students who took top honors in the local contest.

1st Place: Benson Afful (Middle School West)
2nd Place: Serena Ghimire (Middle School West)
3rd Place: Abagayle Evans (Middle School South)
